Sneak Peak: Bannack Ghost Town

This little shot was captured at Bannack, Montana on Feb 22, 2011. I'm still editing the pictures I took there [over 600!] but some of the best will grace the pages of this very blog in the near future.

To create this image I shot a picure of a door from both sides. It caught my eye after seeing how the doorknobs seemed to make a heart shape. First, I flipped the image vertically because the colors were more dull and I wanted that to be by "past" side. Next, I added an overlay texture shot the the left side of the image and reduced the opacity. Third, I added a gray rectangle and made it transparent. I added my text, one word at a time, using three different fonts. The kearning between letters has been adjsuted. And that's how I created this image. Thinking about using it as my poster size [36x24in] poster...but it would take a lot of clone stamping. And I'm really busy designing all sorts of wedding and adoption announcements [okay- really one of each]. They'll be up shortly!
